There are so many marketers that used article marketing to promote their online business and have failed miserably. Most people, who do not know the power of article writing to earn handsome profits from their online marketing businesses, give up totally complaining that article marketing is an illusion. They give up with the view of article marketing being a complete wastage of their time and efforts.

As a person who believes in the power of article marketing to promote online businesses; I will give some effective tips on how to become a successful article marketer.


1. Create an article title that would grab the attention of your reader. This is what makes or breaks your success with article marketing. This is where your reader will decide to read the article or leave it. Mostly this happens unconsciously. Title should be compelling and appealing to your reader. Always check your title and see if you would be compelled to read your own article. Use this litmus test before forwarding your article.

2. Do not copy. Always write original content. You can do the research by going through similar articles; but your article should be your own idea and words. This is another reason that would make or break your success with article marketing.

3. Help the customer to solve a problem. Most of us read articles to find a solution to a compelling problem. In your article try to give as much as information on how to solve a specific problem depending on your niche. But do not give all the information as it would be counter productive if you are promoting a product and want to sell it.

4. Use your resource box at the end of the article well. This is where you take. Your article is the give and resource box is the take. Use this to highlight benefits the customer has by using your product or service. Do not keep on writing about your qualifications in it.

5. Spell checks in your articles. Though most of us don't care much about this it can be annoying for the reader. So always see that you proof read your article and check the spellings before submitting them to article directories.
